Uber Vaccinate the Block

Helping millions of people access Uber rides to vaccines in underserved communities.

We developed a ride donate feature in the Uber app and enlisted social influencers and medical experts who came from these very communities to educate people on vaccine access inequity and get rides to those who need it most.

Collaborators: Director: Tyler Mitchell. Talent: Spike Lee. Uber Creative: Carey Head, Danielle Hawley, R/GA: Chapin Clark, Gavin Guidry, JJ Lim.

Getting a vaccine should be easy, but for some people it's not.

We partnered with our Uber product team to develop a unique vaccine booking experience

and a donation feature so people could donate rides to those who need it most. We also got help from Spike Lee and Tyler Mitchell to inspire people

to donate rides for more equitable vaccine access.

The “Vaccinate the Block” component of our Vaccinate Campaign with

Spike Lee and Tyler Mitchell launched via Uber app, TV, digital, and social channels focusing on vaccine equity, highlighting Uber’s role in vaccine access and a CTA to help by donating to the Vaccine Access Fund.
